“A Vision in White” has a wonderful history. Otto Penzler invited me to contribute a tennis story to an anthology, and I wrote one, but by the time Murder is My Racquet was published, I’d already included the story in my omnibus collection, Enough Rope. That meant Otto couldn’t use it, so he asked me to write another, and the result was “A Vision in White.”
Then Murder is My Racquet came out, and he’d made a mistake (Otto? I know, hard to believe) and used the first story, “Terrible Tommy Terhune.” So I had an unpublished story in hand, and sold it to Ellery Queen, the only place it has thus far appeared.
I hope you enjoy it!

The author just threw some words together and published this book. There no real plot and no end for this book. Very simple.Product details

A Vision in White eBook Lawrence Block Reviews
Doesn't matter if you're a musician, movie star, world-class athlete or Billy The Kid. If you're famous, there's bound to be some nutjob out there who'll want to become famous in his own right by doing you harm. Look at John Lennon or Domonique Dunne or Monica Selles. Here was your famous musician, famous movie star and famous tennis player. All were attacked or killed by some crazed fan wanting his fifteen minutes of fame. And I'm sure Pat Garrett enjoyed his time in the sun when he took down Billy the Kid.
The tennis player in this story is being stalked and she doesn't even know it. From the stalker's point of view we find out that he's emphatuated with her and you get the feeling that he'd love to walk up to her and gush all over her with praise and adoration. If that's all he had in mind, it wouldn't be so bad, but.....
